Collinsville ended a two game losing streak Friday night with a commanding 56-0 win over the Brindlee Mountain Lions, adding their fourth shutout of the season to their resume. With this victory, the Panthers collected another region win to their belt, being (3-3) in Class 3A Region 8 with a total record of (5-3). Quintavious Rogers started the game off hot for The Ville with a 69 yard opening kick return taking the ball to the 8-yard-line. This led to Mason McAteer trotting into the end zone on the first offensive play of the night. Once gaining the extra point, Collinsville was up by 7 with only a minute wasted off of the clock. Quintavious scored a pair of touchdowns to put the Panthers up 19-0. Gavin Lang hauled in a 56-yard touchdown, thrown by McAteer, as the quarter winded down. Kyler Beene carried the ball for 17-yards and scored 6 more points for the Panthers to lead 33-0. To start the second quarter off, the Panthers quarterback, McAteer, took the top off the lions defense for a 66-yard dime to Beene for yet another touchdown. Jan Segura split the uprights from 38-yards to put the Panthers at 43-0 at half. The third quarter only had one touchdown with Bentley Jones throwing it up to Sylas Adams to add on 6 more points. The fourth quarter featured the final score after a hook and lateral to the right tackle, Bronnor Jones, which landed them in scoring position as Logan Hanson took the ball off a toss to the endzone and the Panthers took the victory over Brindlee Mountain, 56-0!
