Omar Reyes has truly made a remarkable impact during his high school career at Collinsville. As the Cross Country manager, he has shown extraordinary leadership and dedication, going above and beyond to support his team. His initiative in raising over $1,000 in donations in just one day and securing food donations from local restaurants like Burger King and Chick-fil-A speaks volumes about his commitment and resourcefulness.
In addition to his role in Cross Country, Omar has been actively involved in several other organizations. As a Teens Together leader, Peer Helper, and member of the Senior Beta Club, he has consistently demonstrated his willingness to help others and contribute to the school community. His involvement as the Panther Press Business Manager and Science Club member showcases his diverse interests and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
Omar’s dedication extends beyond school activities. He has been working at Piggly Wiggly for over two years and at Burger King for six months. Remarkably, during the summer, he juggled four jobs simultaneously, showing his strong work ethic and time management skills. His role as the CPN Videographer and Senior Class Reporter/Secretary further highlights his versatility and commitment to excellence.
Looking ahead, Omar plans to attend Northeast Community College to pursue an associate's degree in business/finance. With his degree, he aims to become a business manager or a real estate agent. His future goals reflect his ambition and desire to continue making a positive impact on his chosen field. Omar also expresses gratitude towards his teachers, especially Ms. White, Ms. Marroquin, and Mrs. Richards, for their support throughout his high school journey.
